Shaving for males

Hey to the male zone members,

I have a question. What's the best way to shave yourself? More specifically,
what is the best way to shave around the pubic area, especially around the
scrotum, or even shaving the scrotum itself? I use an electric shaver, but can't
seem to quite get all the hair off. Any advice?

Thanks,

Joseph

Hope your girlfriend isn't pissed at you when you ask her to get what you can't get on your own.

That's not even an answer. If you don't have anything useful to say, shut up and go away. Yeah, I'm being blunt, but I am so sick and tired of people being stupid jerks, so just shut up.

I would recommend a wet razor for shaving body hair from anywhere, be it your face,
your pubic region, or anywhere else you decide to shave. I first tried a wet razor when I
was a teenager, and I have never considered using anything else ever since.

I echo Dale's comments... I have tried the electric razor, and often end up nicking myself
even with that. A wet razor does not only provide a smoother shave, but imho is safer.

I often use an electric razor for face shaving, unless I've let it go for a few days or so, then only a web, sharp blade will do. For shaving anywhere but the face, use a wet blade. I shaved my pubic area but the itch was more than I could stand; besides, the husband doesn't mind my treasure trail.

I use shaving crream or no? or would it help at all?

use something like coconut oil. gentler on the skin than shaving cream. might help the itch.

My own personal preference is shaving gel, not Cream, or shaving foam. Never use a
wet razor to shave any part of your body without one of these things though. You will not
like the results

In reply to #9 Agreed! You need some sort of moisturizer/lubricant.

As a hairy guy I've run into the same problem (damn Mexican genes...I guess) and havetried a few different things. I personally use an electric shaver to get the easier parts then switch over to a manual raiser to get more tender areas. It also should be pointed out that if you pull your skin a bit tight it helps to get a closer shave. Also, using a women's raiser helps a lot (as weird as it may seem). But yes, use jell/cream/whatever that really is up to you; experiment a bit with that and you'll find what you like.

this webpage points out the idea of depilatories which I like the idea of but haven't gotten around to trying it yet (would love to hear from anyone who has).
